poem 1

Grab the closest book. Go to page 29. Write down 10 words that catch your eye. Use 7 of words in a poem. For extra credit, have 4 of them appear at the end of a line.

The seven words are inspired by “Vampire Kisses” by Ellen Schreiber, my all time favorite paranormal romance series

Day 1: plastic, giggled, Special, sixteen, black, leather, necklace, money, pearls, combat boots

Slipping Black by EveeWrites

They giggle at my pain

Lurking like serpents, dripping in

Pearl necklaces

While I wear

Combat boots

Goth girl, twelve years later

Haven’t changed that

Black eyeliner

Black nail polish

Black , distress shirt

Repping Twilight

In that Black leather jacket

Remembering sixteen, like

Yesterday never left, dripping

Back into black stars, studs,

And skulls, girl I am you

A twenty-six year old, ten years

Later ain’t change that comboot wearing

Black leather, breaking off the pearls

Giggling special woman, no man can
