September Book Review: A Lost Love

So, curiosity has overtaken me by this next book I chose to read entitled, “A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston” by Robyn Crawford.

Now, I went into reading this biography with an open mind, which allowed me to read the story and appreciate the connection between two people. I did not expect the raw emotions from Crawford while reading her story, but I can tell she really loved Whitney. More than anyone else in her life.

I’m usually not a big fan of biographies, but after reading “Becoming” by Michelle Obama, my viewpoints have changed. I can relate so much more to a person through their storytelling like a fiction book. I cannot stand just a story told in an outline. Crawford gives actual dialogue, details, images, and more to her book alike Michelle Obama does too.

truthfully, I wanted to learn more about Whitney Houston since she is one of my favorite singers, and who else than someone who has been there during her journey since the beginning. in my opinion, hear me out, read Crawford’s story before believing any drug rumors, or who started Whitney on drugs controversy. The truth lies in her book, she does hold back, and takes accountability for her own actions. Please pick up and read her story.
